I live in the UK and my insurance premium for my first year of driving is £1800. Not bad I realize to say that I am 17. So im just wanting to compare what prices other people in UK and US pay for their car insurance?
Is young driver insurance cheaper in UK or US?

it depends a lot on their coverages, which state they live in, and their gender and grades.
Here in Houston, TX, an 18 year old boy with his own car, minimum liability, would pay $3,000 a year USD.
I read it over internet that it is cheaper in uk. And they have discounts for students also.
